
Community Care for Kids is the Child Care Resource and
Referral (CCR&R) agency for the South Shore. CCR&R agencies
provide guidance by phone, through workshops, newsletters,
and in person giving parents:
Referrals to local child care programs and providers
Access to information about location, costs, hours of
operations, curriculum
Information on Massachusetts licensing regulations
Information on financial assistance and types of child
care subsidies
Working Families depend on the availability of high quality,
affordable child care. Parents need to know that while they
are at work or school their children are being well cared
for.
Community Care for Kids works with parents, child care
providers, and community members to ensure that families
have access to child care that meets their needs. The
program serves 20 cities and towns on the South Shore

Community Care for Kids is operated by Quincy Community
Action Programs, Inc. (QCAP). QCAP assists families and
individuals to improve the quality of their lives by
minimizing the effects of poverty, promoting
self-sufficiency and advocating for social change. A
private, non-profit organization established in 1965, the
agency provides a wide range of services in the areas of:
housing
early care and education
child care
family support
nutrition
adult education
employment services
heating assistance
energy conservation
Community Care for Kids is a member of the National Child
Care Resource & Referral Agency (NACCRRA) and is funded by
the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and
through private organizations and individuals
